Canyon Springs Cross Country returns from a 3 week break with a huge team performance all around at the 2nd Annual Alejandro Flores Memorial Invitational in Indio.
31 of 33 athletes set a new personal best time for the season. In addition, the Freshman/Sophomore Girls won their overall race, as did the JV Boys.
Too performances on the day were ran by Seniors Chrystian Barrales- Garcia, who ran a new PR of 15:32 and Angel Saldana, who ran under 16 minutes for the first time with a time of 15:53.
On the Girls side, Senior Jazmin Cervantes set a new PR of 20:00 and Jayde Esparza set a new PR of 20:54.
It was a night of many all time best performances for our athletes and was a reminder of what hard work can do for you. Cross Country is back at action on Wednesday in League Meet #2 in Norco. Go Cougars!
